Engagement

I hosted our  monthly ‘Forum’ for YCC this week.  I found myself filled with excitement about the opportunities at hand.  There has been a small group of us holding the space to continue our discussions about how we might help make our communities more healthy and vibrant, for ourselves as well as our fellow citizens.  Various events have come to the table, with exciting potential that might help us build our capacity to do more.  And we have been carefully waiting for the right time to explore how we might connect the dots.  And suddenly we are connecting our internal plans for collecting and analyzing community data with opportunities to bring together partners to pursue outside resources to engage citizens in community solutions to the myriad of problems we face.  There is still time that we need to take to plan.  And now we have a focus to come together with others in our community.  The particular focus on ‘outside resources’ is to draft and submit a Letter of Intent for the ‘Five Communities Project’ just announced by the Center for the Future of Arizona.  We are ready.  If you are interested in more information about the project take a look at ‘The Arizona We Want’ website:  http://www.thearizonawewant.org/index.php

In Community!
