Transitions

Hurry up and wait…

 Is patience a virtue?

My answer – absolutely!  Earlier this month we met to review and refine a strategic plan for Yavapai Community Collaboration.  Now the real work begins.  But wait – things have changed and we need a little more time to put it all together.

It may seem like I’m making excuses, but half of our Executive Team is in transition at this time.  Having been through a few transitions in my career I am well aware of the process.  Our commitment to YCC is about the long run, so I’m focused on the virtue of patience while we step into the future from new places in our present.

Building community takes time.  Our focus is on the development of relationships that will connect us all over time and space.  It doesn’t happen overnight, at least not all the time.  But it does happen!  In my twenty-five year career here in Yavapai County I’ve seen many transitions.  Our world is transforming.  My focus is to support virtuous transformations.

 In community!
