Welcome from Bob Moore

Yavapai Community Collaboration (YCC) leadership group began meeting in the summer of 2009 to plan a county-wide effort to support and enhance community development activities in Yavapai County. YCC has identified 12 areas of community activity through which to conceptualize and frame strategies for improving the quality of life in the county. These twelve areas include health, food and water, local economy, housing, infrastructure, transportation, and more. We invite you to contribute to this effort through this blog with your thoughts and information. We create the future with every action we take…

A note on the format:  The tabs are intended to provide an alphabetical range of the topical teams.  We’re under development here…  so please check back as we work on creating a forum that can support our efforts to support a healthy and vibrant community where we live, work, and play…

Format update:  In an effort to create a forum for the Health Team I have assigned a tab dedicated to this group as a forum to continue our conversations…

  1. How do we sustain a conversation that keeps us moving toward our vision? How can we engage an ever widening circle of friends, colleagues and others concerned about our future? One thought is to learn with others… Here’s one source:

The vision of the Community Driven Institute is a healthy, vibrant, resilient, peaceful, humane world. To make that vision a reality for all of us, the mission of the Institute is to encourage and support the Community Benefit sector to leverage its considerable resources to do so.

Immediate plans are in alignment with areas we can embrace: http://hildygottlieb.com/2010/01/17/goals-for-2010-and-beyond/

I encourage you to follow CDI on the path toward that vision, which I wholly embrace!

  2. lovely layout!!!
